Welcome to Camp Overlook!
The Camp Overlook Lifeguards are slowly overcoming shyness issues, so please be patient with their bashful natures.
4-H Camp Overlook is transitioning into a year-round outdoor learning center. We are welcoming school groups, church organizations, corporate and family retreats, sports teams, and various hobby groups. Camp Overlook is located in the Adirondack Mountains, at 70 Beach Road in the hamlet of Mountain View, NY 12969 (if you’re using a GPS, the address may also list Owls Head as the city). For a map to the camp, click on the link below;
Established in 1945, Camp Overlook is a 4-H camp owned by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Franklin County and the Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County. Camp Overlook provides an affordable residential camp experience to children 6 to 18 years old. Financial assistance is also available to residents of Franklin and St. Lawrence counties by filling out the camper scholarship form (found in the camper application). Financial aid forms must be postmarked by April 1.
Parents are encouraged to send encouraging notes to their children at camp (no phone calls please — they tend to create homesickness!). To contact your camper, postcards and notes can be sent to 4-H Camp Overlook, 70 Beach Road, Mountain View, NY 12969. To send e-mail notes, log into the Bunk1 website, click on Bunk 1 Sign-in site.
